Good Friday.

this week had been a disaster. econometrics quiz on tuesday, a research proposal on wednesday, and two things due on thursday - a presentation on corporate finance and an assignment on portfolio management.

finally, its friday!! phewwwwwwww.............................................. i dont even know how did i manage to get pass all these....... Good Friday.... yippie!!! will definitely give myself a big break today... I'M NOT GOING TO READ ANY THINGS TODAY!!!!!! I NEED A BREAK!!! haihh... but its just today.... before starting with other readings and assignments tomorrow... still got heaps of things coming up next week... just cant afford to lag behind... even only for a week! haih....

honours year is really challenging and stressful.... i never thought i'll need a diary planner in my life. But now, it seems like if i dont write down all those due dates, i'll sure be dead. it seems like i have at least two things due EACH week... Imagine...!!! My diary planner is almost full for april... and a few on may.... coming up next few weeks-referee report, presentation, research proposal, and never ending assignments...... each and every report and assignments WILL be graded.... so you cant bare to accidentally ruin something.... but the most challenging will be the 18 April thesis topic presentation... where most of the audience in that presentation will be those senior lecturers that will grade my thesis.... *stressed*

31 march is the census date, where you can still withdraw without fail.... ermmm... should i really consider abt this?? haihh... i dont even have time to think lahhh.....

IQ test

Room A has 3 switches.
Room B has 3 light bulbs.

You can only go to Room B for once.

How do you know which light bulb belongs to which switch?

Answer:
1. Turn on one switch for a few minutes. Turn it off.
2. Turn on another one and then go to Room B.
3. There will be only one lighted bulb in Room B and two that are switched off.
4. One of them will be hotter than the other coz you've just turn it on just now.

Maroubra Beach

It's still summer. Went to Maroubra Beach today. It's not as popular as Bondi Beach so it's not that crowded and more locals. It's like 20 mins bus ride from the city but waiting for the bus took us yearss as there is only 1 ride per 30 mins. But it's definitely worth it ! hahahaha... I like the sands there... but the water is too cold for me... and I'm so afraid to get sunburn that I applied double layer sunblock.. hahaha..... I think I'll never understand why those angmos are actually lying there for the sun ! NO WAY !! hahaha...

Advanced Corporate Finance.

I don't understand why I have to read the original Modligliani and Miller journal - The Cost of Capital, Corporation Finance and the Theory of Investment. Yes, they got their Nobel Prize for this. But, why am I reading it? I don't even understand a bit ! It's 50++ pages and it took me 3 days to finish reading it. Why can't they use more user-friendly sentences? Why can't they use full-stop in each of the sentences? Why are they making things so technical and complex? Why are they using all those formulas and statistics to explain cost of capital and the market? And why do we need to do presentation on this thing that I will never understand?? Oh my god ! I'm definitely dead in this class. The worst thing is there will be much more complicated journals waiting for me through out the semester that I'll need to read them, write summary paper, weekly proposals and make individual presentation ! And there will be no final exam for this subject ! Guess what? I'll need to read an unpublished research paper and write a referee's report that will be graded by an actual external editor and the lecturer. My goodness! research paper? that must be long, dull, technical, and i bet they'll try to make the sentences as complex as possible! This subject is crazy.... I wonder how long can I survive...

*sigh*

Back in Sydney.

The weather in Sydney is still the same. Hot in the morning, windy at night. I got heaps of things to do. My visa not yet done. My medical checkup not yet settled. I need a job.

Univ is horrble. Only 7 in my class. 4 finance students and 3 economics student. 4 oz , 1 korean and 1 hongkie. People might think a small class is great but for me, its horrible. Small class means you gotta participate a lot... and there is a subject which is almost all participation and individual presentations.... I wonder how I'm gonna survive in the class.... I just can't speak normally in class... stressssssss.......

Hope everything will be fine. I need more courage and more money to survive.

Hong kong trip.

Finally. My long summer break is going to the end... What have I done these few months? hahaha.... the CRAZY HONGKONG TRIP!! We took like 3 days to think abt the trip. One afternoon to buy the airticket. And 2 days later, we're on our flight to HongKong. hahahahaha.... Let's see some photosss...
